Week 5 Transfer 1 (Transfers next week woah!)

Time is going by way fast and its insane! Next we I already will have finished a whole transfer! What the time go by!? But anyways, this week was crazy because we were in La Carlota on Monday and then also on Tuesday for Presidents training so we weren't able to get as much done through the week as we would have liked too, because we lost so much time. But, it has definitely been an interesting week.

One of the members in the branch Sister Purley (Ironic no?) from San Benito, has a ton of families living in this huge home type place, and the husbands all work during the day from Monday-Friday in the Tubo (Sugar Cane) Fields, while the Wives and Children are home cleaning, going to school, or resting and playing. We have like 6 new sisters that we have started teaching all together now and probably more to be added on but we have to be quick because they all go home soon! Its also pretty crazy because one of the Sisters speaks Cebuano (learning ilonggo), another speaks Tagalog (learning ilonggo), and the rest ilonggo. What a hastle! But, I know they feel the spirit and are super interested. We gave them all Books of Mormon.

On Tuesday like I said, I had Presidents training and it was really nice. We did EDPER's (Explain, Demonstrate, Practice, Evaluate, Repractice) with the lessons and we demonstrated The Word of Wisdom. I was so nervous but everyone was surprised. I definitely was blessed at that moment though, that is for sure. After words a member who is a Chef made us food and ohhh boy it was good. I was sick at the time while eating it and was supposed to be on a BRAT diet but I was not going to give that food up. When you have the opportunity to eat super good food here as Missionaries, you take it.

Last night we were able to go to a less active member families house. The Moscoso's; they are probably the hardest house for me to really talk to them and socialize. I have always felt as if Brother Moscoso doesn't like me because I haven't had a real opportunity to talk with him to get to know him and him get to know me. But, last night his daughter had a ton of questions that she wasn't clear about for the church that Elder Gorospe was answering. While that was happening all of a sudden Brother Moscoso started talking to me! It was great, honestly! We talked for a while too so it was nice, and then after that his son Mark came out and was helping me with the language to the best that he could and was able to help with certain things that I didn't totally understand yet or couldn't grasp my head fully around.

Other than that, just a normal week. And oh, we had a Mother Cat deliver 3 kittens above our ceiling. We kept hearing noises for 2 days and then we discovered they were kittens. We took them out and put them outside of our door and they are still there and crying and then sleeping as a usual new born litter of kittens. We are pretty sure the mother is feeding them because of well, ya the usual stuff and last night when we got back they were running everywhere! Pretty funny though. Who would have thought that a Cat would give birth to a litter of Kittens above your ceiling. Yay for bamboo houses!

I know this church is true and I am so happy to be here and be able to help spread this gospel. I love you all and have a great week!! This week's topic for me is service and temples. Ohhh I miss the Temple, but in time I'll be there again!
