My two favorite investigators so far is Brother Albert and his Niece Sister Honeylyne. They have such a great understanding of the Gospel. Brother Albert was contacted by the missionaries last September but never had the missionaries continue to teach him. They just gave him a Book of Mormon. We've been really focusing on them. They've already accepted the invitation to Baptism so soon I we should have a baptism! I'm just praying there are no complications. Brother Albert is a Baptist but he isn't hard headed and understands the Apostacy and everything. Its so great! His Niece even read an assignment we gave her and did what I asked. I always write on a sticky note for people to Pray, Read, Write their understanding of what they read, then Pray again if what they wrote is true. This helps them learn how to truly study the scriptures as well! She did it! It was so great! Hopefully next week I'll have a picture with them to put on my email.
Also, Brother Alimar! I was finally to get some questions out of him for more understanding. He didn't feel as if Heavenly Father loved him so we spent a lesson just teaching about Prayer, why we have prayer, and also we taught Tithing with it. He finally prayed and admitted to us and himself that there are tons of questions that he can't truly get answers too and mentally aren't understandable but he felt it. I told him "Brother, that's faith and the Holy Ghost." I think things will progress more from here. He has already said he will be baptized once he comes to an understanding. Now he just has to go to church on Sunday. He always goes on Saturday for Basketball with one of our Members.
Its been a great hardworking week. But, I have survived and hopefully I light on fire. Haha.. Every week is a learning experience and changing things in your teachings and what not. At District Meeting we had out ZL's and AP's in with us because of transfers craziness and everything and one thing that Elder Perez said is at a point his teaching with one of the other AP's when there was just one companionship was as if there were Dragons and Breathing fire everywhere. That's been exactly me. haha. I'm very Frank in my teaching but he shared something he learned which I'm trying to add and involve in my teaching. Just asking humble questions and always praying that our investigators will answer our questions with the Holy Ghost and that they won't deny the feeling of the Holy Ghost but be confounded to truly answer sincerely and right. Not be overwhelmed by Dragons Breathing Fire Everywhere!!! hahah. Always tons of stuff to learn on the mission. Gotta love it!
Elder Gibbons. Was in La Carlota Zone with me until I transfered. He just went home. He's super awesome!
Riverside County unite! Sister Livingston my High School bud and Elder Pulsipher from Hemet, he just went home.
This crazy Tuko Lizard make me just and freak out during a lesson because it was huge and popped out of no where really close to me!
Love you all and have a great week!!!
