Other than that. This week has just been a week of pure teaching teaching teaching and more teaching! The life of a missionary eh? But yesterday (Sunday) we went to the Magan Family which lives really far away in our area but is a friend of Sister De La Banda's. We teach them every Sunday. We taught Brother and Sister. Sister has a testimony for sure but Brother on the other hand we are still working on. Sister Terecita went to the Baptism and Wedding on Saturday. Ever since that she's soooo happy. After our lesson on Sunday she was just waving to us goodbye so happy. She even helped with our lesson because it was focussed of Brother about the Word of Wisdom. He's finally opened up to listen to the Gospel since I came to this area. He was raised by a Priest in a Boys Home and so he has all these stories and stuff and that's why its been so hard for the past missionaries to teach him but he is finally realizing things. He's a major alcoholic but I'm hoping that my testimony at the end really helped him and touching his heart. I bore such a strong testimony to him. We are relating everything now in our teaching to preparing to go to temple so him and his wife and his family can be sealed as a Family. I was able to share a story that my Brother Blake had from his mission with one of his converts who was also an alcoholic (Thanks Blake =) ). This week has definitely been a great week and I have learned a lot of things and had some new questions come up by people that I couldn't answer because I was totally confused when they asked the question because there were words I hadn't heard! YAH! Those are the best times because then you always remember those words.
Something that I have found a lot here in the Philippines is that there are a lot of members who are strong in the church and all of a sudden they just go inactive because there is a change in their work schedule, they move, or what not. No matter what the change is. Your testimony should not change or leave you! That is when you need to be Reading your Scriptures and Praying all the more harder! We had this Less Active sister come over to us while we decided to just sit down on the side of the highway in Arao and teach all the little kids from high school and down that were following us and know me because I've been walking through there for about 2 months. Its funny how all the neighborhood kids become your friends. But ya, this Less Active member came and joined the lesson and then we ended up focusing the lesson on her. It was cool though. Always remember your Baptismal Covenants that you made!
I know this Gospel is true and that Joseph Smith restored the true Church of Jesus Christ through the Restored Priesthood. If you don't know... Then Pray and ASK!
Love you all have a great week!
