So we haven't been able to do splits for a while because the members just haven't been working with us as much and our WM are all busy with work and school now but, we were able to get in Splits yesterday. It was nice!
While on splits Brother Ronwel and I went to contact someone that we taught a simple lesson a while ago. It was funny though because we were looking for their house so I saw this old woman and said "sis pwede pamongkot?" (can i ask a question?). The first thing she said to me as if "GO AWAY!" was, "My dog will bite you!" and it was this non-harmful looking dog that was changed and I just chuckled and said my question again and then she answered me. So after we were able to find the house. The guys mom walked outside. Sister Alicia. She was super happy and cheerful and so humble and wanting to learn. They live in a richer type of compound but don't have anything in their house. We were able to teach her the whole entire Lesson 1 about the Restoration of the Gospel and she had tons of questions. It was funny too because there were 3 little mice just running around everywhere while we were teaching. Its those people that are in the hardest of times and places that are the most humble. I feel like she will just keep opening up to the Gospel now, just from the way she acted around us. She was way fun.
Anyways. I learned that no matter what, even if you teach the word of wisdom. You cannot teach someone when they are drunk. The one that I taught just joked with us the whole time. But it was a different and learning experience, that's for sure.
Its officially pretty much always raining. But then again we have Storms (Bagio's) right now. I like the rain though. =D Its not hot. Its just wet and cold at night which I like!
On Wednesday we had Presidents Training and I learned a ton of stuff and we were fed giant hamburgers! But I have eaten bigger! I at the whole entire thing in like 5 minutes. No matter what it is here. If I am able to eat anything close to American Food. My stomach is an endless pit. It was like a giant In-N-Out Burger. Oh my yummy yummy yes yes it was! =D But anyways, we have some huge goals for the next 6 months this year in the Mission. Working hard as ever yah!
Love you all! Have a great week!
