So we have been teaching the Lumangyaw Family. They are all Cebuano but they also speak Ilonggo. Ever since we found they that they are Cebuano I have started to mess around with reading the Cebuano Book of Mormon. I actually understand it a lot. More than I thought I would too that is for sure. There are just a lot of verbs that are deep Cebuano that I don't know or some normal verbs that I don't know but other than that its pretty easy to read. So the Lumangyaw Family is all Brothers and their Wives. The Wives are really interested in the Gospel but the Husbands don't want to give up their drinking. Also the first Sister we started teaching prayed the first time we taught but now she won't ever pray but the others will. They said they would go to Church and I really felt that they would, but I guess that's how things work out. At least I know that they are reading the Book of Mormon, even if its slowly. That is a great sign at least! I'm working and praying as hard as I can for them right now.
The Sernal family. So I've been teaching the Sernal family for a long time. Back then, they had two different Baptismal dates given to them but didn't go to church 4x in a row and said they didn't have permission from the Husband. Now we have been able to teach Brother about 2 times and the 2nd time was them all as a family. They all went to Church except Brother this Sunday. I know he couldn't though because he had work. I'm praying that he went to work to see if he can change his hours on Sunday. This family has been a hope and a prayer of mine since coming to Sta. Fe Ward.
Have a Great Week!!
Exploring the Bukid! Loygoy through to Rosario.
Elder De Vera. We crossed a little river with trash. This was from exploring because the other side we cross was flooded.
I have a picture of Brother Roy our Ward Mission Leader while he worked with us one day this week. I called him Moises (Moses). hahaha
