Week 1 Transfer 6

So this week... Oh tooooo much. haha. Well Elder De Vera was transfered. I'm on my 3rd companion in one area. Yah!! But, still not District Leader (Maybe I'll go straight to Zone Leader!) One new companion every transfer. I don't know what President Lopez's plans are for me, but it should be interesting!! I do admit though that I am sad that Elder De Vera is gone now. He was my homie as a companion. We got tons of work done too! Its weird to think he goes home in August. Next month what the weird!? Anyways. So this week.

So Elder Aro is my new companion. He was born in Bacolod City, moved to Manila when he was 9, and now he is back serving his mission here. He's definitely a different type of person but I know that President does companionships accordingly to his inspirations. He prays a lot about all of that stuff and ponders a ton. That is for sure true!

So this week I was just showing Elder around the area for the week. Our numbers were not where we would have wanted them to be. Or at least where I want them to be. But weird enough they were still higher then everyone else's numbers in the District. Then again one missionary transferred from each area in our District besides the Office Sisters.

Our area should have another companionship of missionaries in it, just saying. We are spending money like insane for Plete (Riding fee's). This is in order to follow-up on everyone and our area is super far.

So one thing this week. We are teaching this older brother. Brother Bernardo. He used to be a treasure hunter but now he is bed ridden since as of about 2 years ago or so. He just takes medicine, reads, and watches stuff on his tablet. Honestly its a hard life. He's very smart and we promised him that if he tried to go to church on Sunday he could even walk all the way to church which would be 1hr1/2 walk to the building. That is only if he had the faith to do it. We visited him again on Sunday and he said he tried to walk and started to cough out blood. So I had a little disappointment. I've been doing all that I can on my side. We've taught him a lot also about priesthood blessings but we can't give him one until he tells us that he truly has the faith that he will be healed. I know for a firmness and surety that when he achieves this faith that we will be able to heal him. We taught him yesterday about what it means and feels like when we get answers to our prayers because he is expecting a dream like Lehi, or Joseph. So I'm hoping for the best. I want to help this man so much to be baptized and come unto Jesus Christ and enter into the Kingdom of God. He even was able to go to church twice before he was bed ridden with this problem in his lungs.

Other to that. We had 4 investigators come to church on Sunday! I was awesome because 3 of them are from the furthest area away from the church. One of them is Sister Lumangyaw. A different one though. She is always reading from the Book of Mormon or in Cebuano (Ang Basahon ni Mormon). I know she knows the Church is true. She finally exercised her faith and free agency and came to church and brought her little kid! It was so great!

This week was seriously insanely hard. Showing around an area again to a new missionary is busy business. I have definitely seen all the blessings of the hard work this week. Its awesome! I love Missionary Work!

Love you all! Share your Testimonies to your friends! If you aren't shy you'll realize that they are just shy and have tons of questions for you by the way!

Halong kamo!

Me and Elder Powell at Transfers! Miss this kid! He was companions with Elder Gorospe before this. haha. Elder Gorospe is now AP. Hope we somehow become companions again while on the mission.

The Sisters had a baptism and so I was chosen to baptize. Sister April Lopez Gonzales wanted me to baptize her. It was a great experience as always!

Me and my High School buddy! Sister Livingston and I are in the same Zone  right now. She is the STL (Sister Training Leader) in Bacolod Central right now. It's always nice to see a familiar face. She'll most likely be there until she goes home. Which is good. Leadership makes it so you can't get trunky! haha
