Week 2 Transfer 6

So where to start?

So this week I had in my opinion "Two Mircales." So we received a referral to go contact someone out in the Bukid in Loygoy. So, we got directions from a member. They said at the very end of the path the 4th house but we passed the house and "lagaw lagaw lang'd it," just wondered around exploring. Then I was like were too far. So we come back to the closest house and it was a long property. So all these dogs started barking at me and then this Woman came from the other side of the property. I asked her "Sis, can I ask a question?" So I asked her if she knew a Sister Erna Soandso, and she said maybe the last name was wrong because her name was Erna. After talking a little bit she said she was from La Castellana, my first District in the Mission. I said "no way! You're from La Castellana? I lived in Moises Padilla for about 3 months." During this conversation we were just standing outside all awkward looking. Once I talked about Moises Padilla she said, "ay! Sulod ah! Indi kamo mahuya!" Come in, don't be shy! She suddenly just opened up to us instantly. We were able to share a quick lesson to her and give her a book of Mormon. She said, "I might as well start on some reading, I have nothing else to do right now." After that we were able to find our real referral.

So the real referral. I've never felt so much love and compassion during a lesson. We contacted the real Erna and it was this Sister and her Husband who you would think is Autistic. This Man, Renaldo had some sort of accident and so now he cannot talk, its like his facial muscles are no able to work that well. He drools and has that look but oh my goodness. This man is so humble. The way he communicates with us is with his hands and also he will write to us. After our first lesson we asked Sister to pray but she was too shy still. So Renaldo wrote a simple and heart felt prayer. This is something that has definitely touched my life. I'm so happy for the experiences and opportunities that I have been given so far on my mission.

Something that is the hardest about being a missionary is when members come to you with their concerns and trials but as missionaries we can't do much to help. All we can do is have them Pray, Fast, talk to Bishop, Read their Scriptures and Endure with Faith. That is one of the hardest things for me as a missionary. I'm the type of person who wants to help people right away if they have problems. It makes me so sad. But I know that Heavenly Father can help them better than I can.

We also had a Fireside on Saturday and I sang 4 times. 1 time as a solo, next as a duet and the other 2 with a group. My voice is dead! haha It was great though!

Its been a very heart felt week!

I love you all and wish you a great week!! =D

Loygoy, after some rain!

I forgot the name of this!... But its sweet and yummy but hard to swallow because its just like eating glue!
